Twitter is a great social media tool. It can connect you with friends, readers and even celebrities.
The latter is what I find fascinating about the service, the sheer amount of celebrities who are tweeting with fans on a daily basis. So it's been our personal goal to try to get one of these celebrities to comment on the Washington Capitals.
After repeated attempts to elicit a response from THE_REAL_SHAQ and other Twitter celebrities, we finally managed to get one to acknowledge the Capitals.
D.C homeboy and up-and-coming star in the rap game, Wale.

Okay, so it wasn't the biggest celebrity in the world and sure he's already a well-documented Ovechkin fan (his nickname? Wale Ovechkin) but, still, we thought it was cool.
Also, if you click the link in Wale's response you'll see that he tweeted us from the road in New York. Hey, Wale, if you're in New York why not just take a detour and go to the game for us!
