Most blogs don't make it past a month, few make it past six months, but when one makes it past a year it's a time to celebrate.
That's right, one year ago today, Capitals Kremlin was born in a cubicle at The Progress-Index in Petersburg, Va. Working as an intern and needing a way to kill time during my lunch break and down-time between interviews, Capitals Kremlin became a place where I could write every day about a topic I loved.
The first post was a typo-ridden, AP style-ignoring rant on Jose Theodore and how he was a better choice than Cristobal Huet. I turned out to be half-right (said Huet wouldn't be the No. 1 guy) and half-wrong (said Jose would lead the Caps in the playoffs).
To me, it's incredible to think about how far this blog has come since it started.
Thank you to the fans who read us everyday, tweet our stories on Twitter and to the Caps blogosphere and others who link us and share their sweet, sweet traffic with us. It's appreciated more than you'll ever know.
Here's to another year of blogging!
