So last year we decided that instead of writing a traditional Stanley Cup prediction post like millions of other bloggers, we'd let my then-2-year-old Pomeranian, Rodney, pick who would win in the first round.
He didn't do too badly for a dog and we've decided to give him another go, but this time he'll predict the whole NHL playoffs. Now he's 3-years-old, a little wiser (we hope) and ready to replace the staff of NBC's Game of the Week intermission show.
Here's how it works.
We place a piece of meat on each of two pieces of paper labeled with the team name. First piece of food he eats indicates the winner. Re-seed, repeat and we've got a champion. We just let him go and stayed out of the way. Never impede a genius at work.
Without further delay, a dog picks the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion.
